Traffic strategy

Follow the traffic back to the spend.

Knowing what arrived is useful. Knowing where it came from changes the decision.

The acquisition team has a traffic assessment and a budget decision to make. One describes a visit. The other concerns a campaign. Until those two views connect, neither gives the team enough to act on.

The visit’s source supplies the missing context. A classification can now be read alongside the channel, campaign, spend and conversions it belongs to.

Keep the source in view

Likely human traffic from one campaign and repeated automated activity from another should not disappear into the same acquisition total.

The team follows the assessments back to their sources. It can see which channels are delivering the audience it intended to reach and which are consuming budget without the same result.

Make the next decision clearer

The assessment doesn’t have to prescribe a universal response. The advertiser can reconsider a placement, investigate a source or redirect spend according to its own goals.

Traffic intelligence becomes useful at that point: when an observation about a visit helps explain a business result and gives the team a clearer next step.
